Karen Russell ist Designerin für die Firma Creative Imaginations und macht sehr schöne Layouts. Auf ihrem Blog bietet sie verschiedene Kits an, die sie zusammengestellt hat und für jedes gibt es auch passende Anleitungen und Inspirationen in Form einer CD dazu. Das Kit "Interactive Scrapbooking" hatte ich mir Anfang Juli bestellt. Es ist das erste Mal, daß ich etwas im Ausland bestellt habe und auch das erste Mal, daß ich etwas mit PayPal bezahlt habe. Das alleine war schon ein Abenteuer für mich;))
Dann bekam ich nun letzte Woche auch noch eine Nachricht vom Zollamt, daß eine Sendung für mich zum Abholen bereit liegen würde. Damit hatte ich überhaupt nicht gerechnet, denn andere Sendungen waren anscheinend ohne Zoll durchgegangen. Ich aber mußte nun zum Zoll!
Da war ich dann auch am Montag und der Besuch im Zollamt versetzte mich in eine vorsintflutliche Zeit! Man hat da doch tatsächlich das Gefühl man wäre in den Nachkriegsjahren angekommen, angefangen bei den Farben, der Ausstattung, Mitteilungen geschrieben mit Buchstabenschablonen...
Die Mehrwertsteuer, die ich dann zu entrichten hatte, wurde allerdings im heutigen Prozentsatz ausgerechnet und auch in Euro bezahlt;))
So war diese Bestellung also ein großes Abenteuer für mich und hat mich um einige Erfahrungen reicher gemacht.
Hat es sich gelohnt? Ja, es hat sich gelohnt! Die Materialien hätte ich vielleicht auch hier irgendwo bekommen, aber die beiliegende CD hat es in sich! So tolle Anleitungen, auführlich für zwei interaktive Layouts, und so viel mehr Inspiration! Sinn dieser interaktiven Designs ist es möglichst viele Fotos in einem Layout oder Mini-Buch unterzubringen. Eine absolut tolle Idee!
Und die Papiere gefallen mir auch alle sehr gut, genauso wie das ganze Zubehör. Das ist auch alles reichlich bemessen, so daß man viele Sachen damit machen kann!
Nun muß ich noch entscheiden welche Geschichten ich mit diesen Layouts erzählen möchte und mir dann die passenden Fotos heraussuchen. Ihr werdet sehen...

Now, last week I got the notice of the custom office for a package for me. On Monday I went to the custom office and it was really a travel into another time. All seems to be stopped in the time after World War II, the colours, the furniture and even some notices were drawn with a letter template.
But the value-added tax and the money I had to pay were from nowadays;))
So this order was a big adventure with much new experiences for me.
And is it worth? Yes, it is! Perhaps the materials I could order in German shops but the most value of this Kit is the CD. It's filled with so much inspiration, two detailed instuctions for Layouts and so much more examples!
