Piet Mondrian

Zur Zeit gibt es eine Ausstellung über Piet Mondrian im Museum Ludwig in Köln. Diese Ausstellung habe ich mir gestern angesehen und bin ganz begeistert!
Diese Ausstellung zeigt wie Mondrian vom Landschaftsmaler zum abstrakten Maler wird. Dank des Audioguides kann man diese Entwicklung auch sehr gut nachvollziehen. Es ist schon sehr interessant zu sehen, wie sich zu ähnlichen Zeiten, ganz unabhängig voneinander, Maler in gleicher Weise entwickeln. So gibt es auch bei Mondrian Anklänge an den Kubismus, wie gleichzeitig auch bei Picasso. Und die beiden kannten sich nicht.

Ich habe mir ein kleines Buch vom Taschen Verlag zu Piet Mondrian gekauft und will mich damit noch etwas mehr in der nächsten Zeit beschäftigen.
Seit ein paar Tagen habe ich mich auch wieder mehr mit dem Thema Art Journal befasst und möchte gerne noch etwas zu Mondrian und meinem gestrigen Besuch machen. Das werde ich hier aber auf jeden Fall zeigen.

At the moment is an exhibition about Piet Mondrian at the Museum Ludwig in Cologne. Yesterday I visited this exhibition and I'm very inspired!
This exhibition traces the artist's progress from his beginnings in Impressionism to his abstact paintings. With the audioguide, you can get there, it is simple to recognize this progress. It's so interesting to see how similar the development in art is, in similar time but with different artist. So you can see Mondrians paintings of cubism at the same time like Picasso did it. But they didn't known each other.
I've bought a little book of the Taschen publisher about Piet Mondrian and will more read about him in the next time.
In the last days I'm concerned with Art Journals and want to do something about Mondrian and my visit in the museum yesterday. This will be showed here...
